Travel and Packing Needs --> GoToob

The award-winning and patented GoToob is made from soft yet rugged silicone, so it's easy to squeeze, and it dispenses the product right away. A special, "no-drip" valve helps the cap stay clean.

The collar is made of two rings that unsnap from one another. The outer ring has an ID window, and the inner ring lists content indicators. Simply snap the outer ring off and back on to display "Soap," "Lotion," and more. A blank setting lets the user write in their own content indicator.

GoToob Three-PackA large opening means it's easy to fill and clean your GoToob. The small 1.25 fl. oz. size slips easily into pockets, bags, purses, and other tight spots. The medium 2 fl. oz. size features a handy suction cup that can briefly attach to walls for moments when you need your hands free. And a large 3 fl. oz. size gives you maximum volume for longer times between refills.

All GoToobs are approved for airplane carry-on, they're food-safe (FDA), and they're 100% BPA-free and PC-free. They are also covered by our lifetime warranty.

GoToobs are recommended for shampoos, conditioners, lotions, suntan oil, liquid soaps, condiments (ketchup, cooking oil, etc.), hand-sanitizers, body wash, toothpaste, secret sauce, magic potions, and many other low and medium viscosity fluids. Be sure to check out the compatibility page for more information about care as well as lists of non-recommended fluids by category (food & beverage, hair care & styling, skin care, and other).

PackAways!

I love organization.  I mean LOVE it.  When I had the chance to review these I knew exactly what I was going to use it for ... but I had to narrow my list down because I only got 2.  I received the Pink and Green  boxes.  They were so easy to assemble and were automatically taken for kids toys. Hubbs brother was in the process of moving and these were the best things to stick the toys that were contantly in use.  As the house was getting fixed (paint, cleaning, etc.), I constantly heard how amazing it was to just have these within reach to keep the kids occupied.  It was even better because the colors were so bright and different, the kids did not fight over which box was theirs! The teacher in me still added their names to the write on area with my Dry Erase Marker though :)  If I even get these back, hopefully, I will use them for my classroom!  Teachers absolutely love organization ad boxes that are simple to put together and pack as these are.

Packaways is a brand new Storage Box that ships and stores in the flat position. When needed, simply press on opposing corners and the bottom "Automatically" folds into place and locks. When not in use, simply press on the bottom and the box folds back down flat for easy, out of the way storage. Ideal for homes, apartments or living quarters where use is intermittent and space is tight. Many applications: Moving; Back To School; Organizing The Kids' Rooms; Basement or Garage; Seasonal Items, etc. You can color code your things or have the colors match your decor. Proudly made in the U.S.A. from durable corrugated plastic. Great for harsh storage conditions or long-term storage since moisture and humidity won't effect the integrity of the boxes. Will last hundreds of cycles under normal circumstances. Comes with 2 Wipe Away Panels that allow you to conveniently identify the contents of the box. If you use China Dry Erase Markers, you can simply Wipe Away the previous contents and remark the box. Please go to www.packaways.com for more information.

For the birds...

I am a Pinterst addict.  I was beyond excited when Google Play Store finally got the app, now I'm getting an iPhone and will have to learn how to use it all over again!   Ahh!

I found this on my homepage from one of our followers, a good friend of ours who rode the bus with us for 10+ school years and was in my little brothers grade.  It is called "10 habits for a well-run home."

Hold the bus!  There are actually well ran homes?  Lets look at the 'helpful hints' they gave us and see how well we fare!

1. Wake up early
2.Go to bed earlier
3. Evening Preperations
4. Institute meal planning
5. Do 1 complete load of laundry a day
6. Finish dishes before bed
7. A place for everything, everything in place
8. 5 min. bathroom cleaning per day
9. Bedtime routine
10. Do not say yes to new requests

For day to day actions, I failed miserably.  Being an overachiever naturally, I laughed hysterically when I read the article and told myself they were trying to make us strive to be the perfect housewife and mother.  Who finds time to do all of this?  Although they are great ideas and if used correctly would make life easier, they left out big aspects of every day life!  What about play time with your children or animals?  Teaching socialization skills and active play are a big part of molding a child.  When I was in HS I remember my mom doing many of these, but life is chaos and will always remain so. Also, waking up early is for the birds :)

If life was not filled with chaos I  would not know what to do!

I hate stains!

 Perky Plus Stain Remover

Engineered by professional carpet cleaners, Perky™ PLUS  has been formulated to tackle all types of everyday home spills and messes.  With over 35 years of experience making stain removers and carpet cleaning supplies, Perky™ PLUS  is perfect for the everyday modern family.  Unlike other carpet stain removers that use a spray top to treat the surface of the stain, Perky stain removers fight the source of the stain in the carpet & pad with an advanced squirt top that not only dissolves the stain but also neutralizes odors on contact giving your carpet and fabrics that brand new look and smell.  Groom Industries has been manufacturing professional cleaning supplies for over 35 years and have just recently developed these fantastic cleaning products and stain removers for the general public. Visit www.groomindustries.com for more information.

I was excited when I received this product because I wanted to get a horrible stain out of my shirt.  I then thought  it might be a tad bit strong for something like that. It says it is a supply that is perfect for the modern family. So I used it on a stain my dog left after eating one of those little centipedes that somehow get into a  sealed basement.  Ta - Da! It did work! I usually get something liek Resolve to get my stains out but this was a nice alternative!

After realizing it helped, I wanted to try it on my shirt with the stain.  I use Rimmel makeup that is in the little tube and sometimes if it is stored cap down the makeup will just explode out.  It happened on a nice NEW shirt I was wearing.  I now just wear grubby shirts getting ready before I jump into my clothes now.  To make this long rambling story short I tried it.  Previous tries were done with Oxi Stain remover - nope, Stain Stick - nope, and rubbing the tide stick on it - nope!  As a last ditch effort I opted for Perky PLUS.  Was I surprised? YES.  After so many attempts to get the foundation stain out of my shirt it happened.  As with any cleaner you need to be careful and follow directions.  Do not use as much as you 'think' you need because it just squirts out of the container.

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.

Leather Honey GA

A blogger friend of ours was given the opp. to try this! We hope we can too in the future!

"I was given the opportunity to review Leather Honey. I knew this would be the perfect opportunity to test this out on my father's old leather jacket. His jacket is very old, cracked, and dry. He could really use a nice shine to his jacket. Leather Honey is family owned and operated since 1968, and made in the USA. It works on all types of leather, and protects the leather from drying out or molding. It's a non toxic all natural formula, and doesn't contain solvents, silicone or other chemicals that can be harmful to leather. I borrowed my father's leather jacket to use the Leather Honey on. Since his jacket is old, I used a sponge and washed it with warm water and soap. Then I took a sponge, and used a very small amount of Leather Honey. A small amount can go a long way. At first I thought it was going to be greasy, but it's not greasy at all. I was in shock after applying the conditioner. It was so clean and shiny. I have never seen leather shine so much. The cracks hardly visibly either. I will defiantly be using this product again."
Leather Honey has a 100% positive feedback on eBay and 177 Five-Star reviews on Amazon. If your looking for a product that can really clean your leather, Leather Honey is perfect for you. Why not go order yours now. They even have a 100% money back guarantee, plus they have free shipping with no minimum order! Want to win a bottle of Leather Honey? Rockin' Green Laundry!

Rockin' Green is such a great company and I promise I am not just saying this because I tried their detergent.  We always do a little research on each company and their products before we introduce them to you.  Rockin' Greene has the best customer support I have seen so far for a company that focuses on cleaning products.  They have an entire portal or page dedicated to users, from discussion boards run by us to FAQs and coupons.  We all know we love coupons!

Raise Armpit Stain Remover

Have you ever had armpit stains on your shirt? Or maybe a ring around your collar? Or just any stain at all? Well, I can tell you that my husband and kids always get stains on their clothing. I'm very excited that I got to review the Raise Armpit Stain Remover.

Raise Armpit Stain Remover was featured on The Doctors as well as in the upcoming June issue of Shape Magazine. So, to be featured in a magazine and on a tv show that must be it's pretty impressive right?

I decided to test out the Raise Armpit Stain Remover on my husbands shirt and a sock of his. The collar of his shirt was yellow and his socks are always really dirty.

Laundry Detergent!

I am trying to make laundry detergent at this very moment... I Googled a lot of recipes and finally decided that they all sound the same and to just go with the 1-1-1 ratio :)

Ingredients:
  • Fels-Naptha
  • Arm & Hammer Super Washing Soda
  • 20 Mule Team Borax
  • Old Laundry Detergent Jugs
  • Bucket to mix
  • Wooden spoon
  • Knife/Board
  • Food Processor or Magic Bullet
  • Pan
  • Funnel
  1. Start boiling 3-4 cups of water in a large pan
  2. Cut your Fels-Naptha into small chunks, just like when you cut a potato
  3. Put into food processor to chop up so you do not have to grate :)
  4. Pour into boiling water.  You may have to wait awhile! Mine was around 15 mins.
  5. Fill 1/3 to 1/2 bucket  with hot water
  6. Transfer soap water to a safe area  and pour into bucket
  7. Add and mix together 1 C. Borax & 1 C. Washing Soda. Stir until dissolved
  8. Funnel into your containers approximately 1/2 full and top it off with water
  9. Begin washing your tools - they will have soap stick to them
  10. Wa-la! You can make more than toast and eggs now you kitchen magician!

Alright, so I have become a little obsessed with Pinterest and to make it easier if someone wanted to PIN THIS (wink wink) I made a little progression chart of what I did using pictures!

Have fun!
